This property attracted me because it is a destination in and of itself. The house is set in the middle of a 15,000 square foot lot. Why can drive on the circle drive to the front door. It has a patio far removed from neighbors. At the same time it is virtually on the border between Stapleton, one of Denver’s newest neighborhoods with many equally new amenities and the city’s largest rec center, and Park Hill, one of Denver’s premier historic neighborhoods. What makes the immediate neighborhood interesting is the dominance of Mid-Century Modern style houses, including the house I own. While the furnishings I have chosen mostly reflect the slightly earlier international style–think Bauhaus, LeCorbusier and Mies van der Rohe–these chairs, couches, tables make for an easily cleaned and comfortable living environment.
